The eligibility questionnaire is provided for illustrative purposes only and does not guaranty that you will be eligible to receive assistance under the program. In order to determine that you meet the additional program criteria and confirm your eligibility, you will need to meet with a foreclosure prevention professional.You are responsible for verifying the accuracy and suitability of all answers and assumptions. Before applying to the program, we strongly recommend that you first contact a non-profit housing counseling or legal services organization that can assess whether you are eligible. For a referral to a government-vetted foreclosure professional in your community, contact the New York State Attorney General’s Homeownership Protection Program at 855- HOME-456. There is no charge to eligible homeowners for the program.

Mortgage Assistance Program
By choosing to use this Site to initially assess your eligibility to apply to the Mortgage Assistance Program , you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. If you do not agree to these terms and conditions, you should not utilize the questionnaire to initially assess your eligibility to apply to the Mortgage Assistance Program.
We can not guarantee that all homeowners that would like to receive a assistance under the Mortgage Assistance Program will receive assistance. At this time, the program is available only to eligible homeowners that meet all program requirements and is limited in the number of participants that can be accommodated.
The Center recommends that all applicants work with a non-profit housing counseling or legal services organization that can assess whether you are eligible, and provides referrals to government-vetted foreclosure professional in your community. However, if the Center is not itself conducting the housing counseling and legal services and so cannot guarantee the accuracy or level of work provided by the counseling agencies.
